A Day at Home with the Cats

Nothing sounds better than a day at home with the cats. You'll get things done, clean the house, and have a productive day. Right? Wrong.

There are certain experiences every cat owner can relate to. Our cats enrich our lives in so many ways, and at the same time, make them more challenging in others. When you adopt a cat, your life will never be the same.

First of all, when you’ve finally made it to the weekend, your cat will still want to wake up early. Get used to feeling his sandpaper-like tongue on your cheek at the crack of dawn, because if the sky’s awake, you should be awake!

He’ll want to get you up out of bed, but will make getting ready for the day nearly impossible. He will lay in the sink when you need it most, and probably unravel the toilet paper roll… for the seventh time today.

When you finally have a moment to clean the house, your cat will probably be napping. You’ll sigh and put away the vacuum cleaner, because you won’t want to wake up your sleeping baby. As a result, your messy home will continue to look like a tornado ran through it. Better luck next week!

If you can’t clean, you might as well get some work done. As soon as you sit down at the computer, your cat will conveniently lay on top of the key board, demanding attention.

It’s a good thing our cats are cute…
