Honeycake, the adorable kitten, had a rough start to life. She survived being thrown out of a moving car, and was passed from shelter to shelte, unable to find a forever home. Honeycake’s future was grim, as the shelter she was in had a deadline for her life. They could only hold animals for a limited amount of time, and the sweet kitten wasn’t having any luck.
After several months of hoping and waiting to be adopted, the shelter’s deadline was drawing near. In the nick of time, the Michigan No-Kill Cat Rescue center came to the rescue. After hearing about Honeycake’s dire situation, they rushed to the shelter and took her into their care. Because the rescue group intervened, Honeycake was given a second chance at life.
Shortly after she was rescued, a passionate nurse named Renee met and fell in love with the sweet kitten, and decided to adopt him. November 12th, 2016 was the day that everything changed for Honeycake. In this touching video, Honeycake meets her new owner and can’t stop kissing and cuddling her to show her gratitude.
