Koko the Gorilla is certainly a gentle giant. She is extremely affectionate, especially with baby animals. Since she doesn’t have any babies of her own, her team of experts from the Gorilla Foundation decided to give her the surprise of a lifetime. On her birthday, Koko’s world changed when she was introduced to a litter of baby kittens, two of which she adopted into her own family.
It was love at first sight for Koko and the kittens. She immediately embraced them and seemed to light up with joy as they played with her. Koko has gotten to nurture the kittens as if they were her own, which has been very therapeutic for her. Her motherly instincts never fail to surprise her team of experts.
Her gentle, motherly nature began to truly shine when she met Ms. Gray. While Koko loves all of the kittens equally, she seems to have a very special bond with this one in particular. Koko and Ms. Gray were inseparable from the start.
Koko loves to spend quality time petting and playing with her kittens. There is nothing the kittens love more than being stroked and praised by gentle Koko. Koko and her kittens received so much love and attention in the media that National Geographic even featured her on their cover in the January issue. Together, Koko and her two kittens have redefined the word “family.” Even though they are of different species, these animals adore one another, and have truly made a lasting bond.
