Ragdoll Cats
Ragdoll Cats Origin
The Ragdoll breed was developed by American breeder Ann Baker in the 1960s in Riverside, California.
They are best known for their docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature. The name ‘Ragdoll’ is derived from the tendency of individuals from the original breeding stock to go limp and relaxed when picked up.Ragdoll Cats Personality and Temperament
Cats of the Ragdoll breed have bold personalities, a relaxed nature and a strong tolerance for pain (though this can, at times, be mistaken for lack of pain). These features allow Ragdolls to tolerate playing with children and makes the breed an ideal family pet. Ragdolls are smart, gentle, and super affectionate. This breed is known to crave human attention and are extremely loyal and devoted to their people. They make wonderful companion pets. Ragdolls are not known to be overly demanding and they tend to be calm and loving companions.
